The MW Arden team has signed Denmark's Michael Christensen as its first driver for the inaugural GP3 Series.
The 19-year-old graduates to GP2's new sister championship after two seasons in Formula BMW Europe, where he won races and finished fourth in the standings last year.
MW Arden is a partnership between Christian Horner's Arden squad and Red Bull Formula 1 driver Mark Webber, and Christensen said Webber's involvement had influenced his choice of team.
"It's a great opportunity to work closely with Mark Webber which will only benefit my career development," he said. "The Arden team have a winning history in every previous championship they have competed in and having met the people involved, I am convinced it is the right team for me to be in for 2010."
GP3 commences with two rounds at the Spanish Grand Prix in May, and joins GP2, Formula BMW Europe and the Porsche Supercup on the F1 support bill.
