Formula 3 race winner Sebastian Hohenthal has confirmed that he will race in the Formula Two Championship next season.
The 24-year-old Swede, who has raced in British F3 for the last two years after winning the Formula Renault UK title, is eager for success in the revived championship.
"For me, the new F2 championship couldn't have been any better timed," said Hohenthal. "F2 has a proud history and I look up to drivers like Ronnie Peterson, who became a national hero when he graduated to Formula One having won F2 in 1971.
"It has been a long time since Sweden has had a driver in F1, but hopefully I can end the wait."
Hohenthal joins Robert Wickens and Julien Jousse as race winners from international single-seater championships to sign up for F2 next year.
