Sevilla FC have confirmed that former GP2 racer Borja Garcia will drive their Superleague Formula car in the inaugural series this year.
The Spaniard was unveiled along with the car, run by the Valencia-based GTA Motor team, in Seville this week.
Garcia, a former Spanish F3 champion, has already tested the car at Monteblanco, Barcelona, and Vallelunga, and has been impressed by the 750bhp V12 machine.
"I am very impressed with the car and really looking forward to the first race," he said. "The engine is very impressive and despite the car being quite big, it's actually very nimble.
"I will give my best knowing that it's going to be difficult due to the high standard of the competition. I know that I'll have the great family of Sevilla fans behind me.
"For a Spanish driver, it's great to drive for a team like Sevilla. The final race will be in Jerez, which is not far from Seville. That's going to be a huge event and a major highlight for me."
The Superleague season begins with the first race at Donington Park next weekend.
