World Series by Renault race winner James Walker has re-signed with Fortec Motorsport for the 2008 season.
The Jerseyman took his maiden win at Donington Park last year and is hoping for more victories in his second season in the World Series.
He said: "I had a good rookie season. Donington was definitely the highlight but I enjoyed the whole season.
"I have more to give and have been training hard to make sure I'm ready for the new season. The team will push me hard and I'm willing to put the work in, so I think we have some exciting times ahead of us."
Fortec technical director Chris Gorne said: "He did a good job for us last year and made significant improvements. Staying with us gives both James and the team a sound platform to capitalise on."
Walker, and the rest of the series' drivers, will have their first taste of the new World Series car in testing at Valencia on March 5.
Gorne, who was Walker's race engineer last season, believes their familiarity will help them adjust to the new car: "The new car is a change for everyone, but working with the same driver reduces the variables and should enable us to hit the ground running. His application and feedback are exemplary so it's just a matter of time."
