Alx Danielsson has been confirmed as the 2006 World Series by Renault champion, more than three months after the season finished.
The Swede's title had been provisional after Draco Racing lodged an appeal when Pastor Maldonado was excluded from the first race at Misano.
The appeal was rejected by the Italian National Court of Appeal for Motorsport, who upheld Maldonado's disqualification for a technical non-compliance.
The court also overturned a decision of the stewards from the same meeting, where Ben Hanley was given a 25-second penalty for dangerous driving in race one.
The decision to withdraw the penalty means that Hanley is confirmed as the winner of the race, and it moves him ahead of Eric Salignon for eighth place in the standings.
