
Tamas Pal Kiss topped the times in Auto GP free practice at Estoril on Saturday morning.
In damp conditions the Hungarian set a best time of 1m42.601s in his Virtuosi UK-run Lola to head Markus Pommer by 0.7 seconds.
Kiss is aiming to cement the runner-up in the 2014 Auto GP series this weekend, and currently has a 13-point cushion over Super Nova driver Pommer.
2013 champion Vittorio Ghirelli was third fastest on his return to the series with Super Nova. He replaces the injured Michela Cerruti this weekend.
Antonio Pizzonia registered the fourth quickest time, setting his best lap of 1m43.558s on his final tour of the session.
The former Williams and Jaguar Formula 1 driver is http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116375 this weekend after winning the final race of the 2012 Auto GP season at Sonoma with Zele.
Ten cars are entered for the season finale, with Kevin Giovesi sitting out the event.
