Alice Powell will return to the GP3 Series for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix support races this weekend with Bamboo-Engineering.
The 20-year-old Briton, who finished as runner-up in the MSV-run F3 Cup this year, replaces Melville McKee at the team.
Powell contested a full GP3 season last year with Status Grand Prix, but last week returned to international-level action by testing in Formula Renault 3.5 at Barcelona.
She said: "I'm really looking forward to racing in Abu Dhabi and to step into a GP3 car again.
"Obviously the car is very different from what I drove last year and to anything I've raced before, so it will take time to get used to the car and tyres.
"But I can't wait to get on track and I will give it my best shot."
This weekend will be Bamboo's last in GP3. The team, which bought Atech CRS's entry last winter, has been purchased by GP2 outfit Russian Time, which will take over in time for the tests that follow next week.
The team will field just two cars for Powell and Carmen Jorda, with Lewis Williamson also absent.
