Summary

Status: Stopped
That's a wrap for our coverage from Aragon MotoGP qualifying, where Marquez took an expected pole despite his rookie star rival's heroics.

Check back in tomorrow for the race, which is scheduled an hour earlier than originally intended to avoid a direct clash with F1.
Hard to tell behind the visor, but Quartararo seems to be genuinely miffed to end up second. He shouldn't be - that was very special.
Q2 results: 1 Marquez, 2 Quartararo, 3 Vinales, 4 Miller, 5 A Espargaro, 6 Rossi, 7 Crutchlow, 8 Morbidelli, 9 Mir, 10 Dovizioso, 11 Iannone, 12 P Espargaro.
Marquez, of course, is on pole position, while Vinales completes the front row.
Quartararo suffers on the straights in the fourth sector, and ultimately comes up three tenths short, but it's still a superb second place for the rookie.
Chequered flag. Marquez, Vinales and Miller won't improve, but Quartararo very well might. He's up on Marquez after two sectors!
Meanwhile, it's a 1m47.009s from Marquez, which is a marginal improvement on his benchmark.
Vinales moves up to second, with Miller then retaking third. Espargaro's track position has enabled him to take a provisional fourth.
Marquez starts his flying lap behind Vinales, and himself has Aleix Espargaro right behind him. Might be worth it for Marquez to drag the Aprilia around, just to mess with his main rivals some more.
Marginal improvement from Morbidelli, who moves up to sixth place at Mir's expense.
Current order: 1 Marquez, 2 Quartararo, +0.785s; 3 Miller, +0.812s; 4 Vinales, +0.904s; 5 A Espargaro, +1.317s; 6 Mir, +1.414s; 7 Morbidelli, +1.445s; 8 Dovizioso, +1.558s; 9 Crutchlow, +1.584s; 10 Rossi, +1.607s, 11 Iannone, no time; 12 P Espargaro, no time.
Vinales improved but can only run fourth behind Marquez, Quartararo and Miller.

The riders occupying spots from P5 to P10 - Aleix Espargaro, Mir, Morbidelli, Dovizioso, Crutchlow and Rossi - are between 1.3 and 1.6 seconds off Marquez.
It doesn't last - Quartararo briefly edges ahead, before Marquez fires in a 1m47.050s. He's almost eight tenths clear of the Frenchman, and this is probably game over for pole.
Miller retakes first place, 1m47.862s. It will not last.
But now Marquez is properly going for it - he's two tenths clear of Quartararo, three tenths clear of Vinales and around half a second clear of the rest in the first sector alone.
Marquez's first lap is surprisingly only good enough for second, and it's Vinales who goes top instead, with a 1m48.159s.
Morbidelli's initial attempt is a 1m48.495s, which is a touch worse than what he managed in Q1. Miller then goes three tenths faster.
We're live for Q2, which will decide which two riders join Marquez on the first row.
Q2 line-up: Dovizioso, Vinales, Quartararo, Morbidelli, Iannone, Crutchlow, Mir, A Espargaro, Miller, P Esparagro, Rossi, Marquez.
An update from KTM: "Pol feels pain in his left wrist but at the moment there is no confirmation regarding a broken bone. With an additional x-ray we hope for a more precise information."

All the other KTMs exited in Q1, so either way he will end the day as its top qualifier.
Rins greets the cameras with a shrug. Honestly, you'd still bet on him reaching the top five tomorrow, but the qualifying struggles keep making his life harder.
That's probably the highlight of Iannone's Aprilia tenure so far - a very creditable lap given he's still nursing a shoulder injury.

Q1 results: 1 Morbidelli, 2 Iannone, 3 Rins, 4 Nakagami, 5 Petrucci, 6 Bagnaia, 7 Oliveira, 8 Rabat, 9 Kallio, 10 Lorenzo, 11 Syahrin, 12 Abraham, 13 Smith.
Rins can't get it done! He loses a tenth in the final sector and comes up short of Iannone. He will start only 13th.
Rins is matching Morbidelli through the first two sectors, but both Morbidelli and Iannone are also on fast laps.
That's big trouble for Rins, who is now down to third and desperately needs to find time on this final lap - with the chequered flag out.
It's a super lap from Morbidleli! He posts a 1m48.292s to go top - and Iannone, having run in his tow, is just 0.038s slower.
Petrucci moves up to third place, but is still 0.070s short of a provisional Q2 spot.
Rins is three tenths slower on his first attempt with the hard rear, but Rabat benefits from running behind the Suzuki to move up to fifth place.
Rins goes with a hard rear tyre for his second and final Q1 run. He has the two Avintia Ducati bikes in his tow on the out-lap, but doesn't seem too concerned about it.
Current order: 1 Rins, 2 Morbidelli, 3 Nakagami, 4 Iannone, 5 Kallio, 6 Petrucci, 7 Lorenzo, 8 Rabat, 9 Oliveira, 10 Bagnaia, 11 Abraham, 12 Smith, 13 Syahrin.
Indeed, Morbidelli retakes second place, lapping within a tenth of Rins - who is now in the pits with seven minutes remaining on the clock.
Nakagami demotes Morbidelli from second place by half a tenth - but the Petronas Yamaha rider is on another push lap.
Rins takes over in first place, recording a 1m48.519s. Petrucci's first representative effort is only good enough for fifth.
Rins, Petrucci and Nakagami are all up on Morbidelli's effort.
It's an initial 1m48.853s from Morbidelli to lead the way ahead of Iannone, Kallio and Lorenzo.
Rins has had a time chalked off for track limits - presumably that's why he backed out of the previous lap.
And now Rins has rolled out. Morbidelli carries on, himself followed by Iannone.
Rins doesn't waste any time looking for a tow, and immediately begins his flying lap. He has Morbidelli - another expected Q2 contender - behind him.
