Summary

Status: Stopped
Four races down and the drama in this incredible 2018 MotoGP season continued today at Jerez.

Thank you for coming along for the ride. We will be back in two weeks' time for more MotoGP action, as the series heads to France and the iconic Le Mans.
Marquez on his massive moment at Tun 12: "It was a little bit showy, but, you know, 'Marquez style'."
No further action taken by Race Direction on the Dovizioso/Lorenzo/Pedrosa incident.
Iannone has been at the centre of much speculation regarding contracts. Surely his form of late will be giving Suzuki boss Davide Brivio a massive headache? Or will it prove to be too little, too late for the Italian?
Come the final reckoning in this 2018 MotoGP World Championship, how major will today's race be in the outcome of the title fight? At a track Ducati has typically struggled at, Dovizioso was set for a sweet dose of damage limitation.

Marquez now sits on 70 points in the championship, with Zarco 12 points back in second. Vinales is third, 20 points down on Marquez, with Iannone moving into fourth and 23 points down. Dovizioso is fifth, 24 down.
Iannone's third marks the first time in a decade that Suzuki has scored three podiums in succession. The last time that happened, it was Chris Vermulen and Loris Capirossi riding the Hamamatsu factory's bikes.
Marquez's win today puts him equal on 37 in the premier class with the legendary Mike 'The Bike' Hailwood. One more and he will tie with Casey Stoner.
40,075km completed for Rossi in today's race. That equates to a lap of the world. World class stuff from the Yamaha rider.
Tech3's Hafizh Syahrin, carrying injury from a training incident last week, was 16th ahead of Simeon and Abraham.
Miller crossed the line in sixth ahead of Vinales and Bautista, who takes his first top 10 of the season. Morbidelli takes his best result of his rookie campaign in ninth ahead of Kallio. P.Espargaro, Nakagami, Smith, Rabat and Redding take the remaining points.
Johann Zarco comes home in second, while Iannone takes third ahead of Petrucci and Rossi.
Marc Marquez eases to victory in the Spanish Grand Prix.
Vinales has overhauled Bautista for seventh. We are onto the last lap.
Iannone takes third from Petrucci at Dry Sac.
Rossi has cleared Miller and is now fifth. He'll be hoping Iannone and Petrucci carve each other up and allow him to sneak up on them.
Bautista has Vinales all over the rear of his Ducati as he tries to defend seventh place. Marquez heads onto the penultimate lap out in front.
Further down the order, Kallio is leading the KTM battle in 10th ahead of Smith and Espargaro.
Iannone has regrouped a bit and is chasing Petrucci down again for third. Rossi's challenge looks over.

Petrucci has taken third and is easing away from Iannone. 5 laps to go.
Thankfully, all three riders looked to have gotten away from that Turn 6 accident unscathed. Race Direction has placed it under investigation.
That incident has thrown some hope Yamaha's way, as Rossi is now involved in the battle for third with Iannone and the two Pramac riders.

This is massive for the championship. If Marquez wins, and Zarco stays second, the Honda rider will take a 12-point lead. Dovizioso will drop 24 points back.
Dramatic scenes here in Spain. Dovi tried a move on Lorenzo, ran wide, and when Lorenzo went to move into the inside of the track, he hit Pedrosa.
Huge crash. Lorenzo, Dovizioso and Pedrosa are down at Turn 6.
Rossi is keeping with the two Pramac riders sandwiching him in eighth, and they are hunting down Iannone.

Fastest lap of 1m39.159s from Marquez on that last tour, which was six tenths quicker than Lorenzo in second.
Marquez has extended his lead to almost two seconds. You get the feeling only Marquez can beat Marquez now. 10 laps to go.
Dovizioso almost collected Lorenzo as he attempted a lunge at the last corner. That allowed Pedrosa through, though he retaliated at Turn 1.

Marquez has a 1.3-second advantage over Lorenzo with 11 laps to go.
Despite that moment, Marquez is breaking away at the front. Dovizioso needs to get passed his teammate now if he has any hopes of winning this race.
Marquez almost lost the rear of his Honda going through Turn 12 where Luthi had gone down and spread gravel on circuit.
Luthi has gone down
Vinales, in a lowly 12th, has a trio of hard-charging KTM's coming for him. Smith heads Espargaro, with Kallio - who is on a 2019 prototype RC16 - 15th.
