Summary

Status: Stopped
And that'll be a wrap for us from MotoGP qualifying at Jerez.

It's promising a very good race for tomorrow. Honda looks strong, Marquez's subdued showing aside, but FP4 suggests Suzuki is a major threat on race pace. And could Dovizioso, perhaps, be a factor?

Check back tomorrow to find out.

For Zarco, it's his eighth consecutive front row start, dating back to his Motegi pole last year. Absolutely unreal.
This is Cal Crutchlow's fourth MotoGP pole, his first since 2016. If he's gunning for that works Honda ride alongside Marquez, that was as good an audition as any.
That was a bit emphatic by Crutchlow. He's further ahead of second-placed Pedrosa than Pedrosa is of Petrucci in ninth.
Q2 results: 1 Crutchlow; 2 Pedrosa; 3 Zarco; 4 Lorenzo; 5 Marquez; 6 Rins; 7 Iannone; 8 Dovizioso; 9 Petrucci; 10 Rossi; 11 Vinales; 12 Miller.
Big, big effort by Alex Rins to pip Suzuki teammate Andrea Iannone to sixth, a second-row spot, by just 0.003s, considering he's not looked as strong as the Italian all weekend.
It's a Crutchlow - Pedrosa - Zarco front row. Lorenzo is fourth, Marquez only fifth.
Marquez has rolled out of the lap, nobody else is improving. Cal Crutchlow will start the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix from pole position. How about that?
Cal Crutchlow finds some more time at the death, for a 1m37.653s. Monumental.
Marquez still can't improve! He's got another chance at this, as the chequered flag waves.
Johann Zarco goes P3, where did that come from?!
A minute left on the clock, a fair few riders will be on their final laps already.
Marquez is pushing for pole, but it's not good enough as it stands - his most recent lap was still not quite as good as that initial 1m37.977s.
Dani Pedrosa up to P2, 0.16s behind Crutchlow. It's a Honda 1-2-3 as it stands.
Andrea Dovizioso is up on the pole time after the two first sectors, but the full lap ends up only good enough for fifth. Four minutes left.
Lorenzo's finding some speed, too. He goes to P4, 0.019s off Marquez and 0.009s off Iannone.
Crutchlow, who has been into the pits for a quick bike change, is pushing something fierce, and it takes him to first place. 1m37.752s. That's a new pole record as it stands.
Eight tenths currently separate P1 and P11. Only Rossi is somewhat adrift, 1.1s off and as much as six tenths behind his Yamaha factory teammate Maverick Vinales.
Current order: 1 Marquez; 2 Iannone; 3 Pedrosa; 4 Rins; 5 Crutchlow; 6 Lorenzo; 7 Vinales; 8 Dovizioso; 9 Zarco; 10 Miller; 11 Petrucci; 12 Rossi.
Marquez's follow-up lap is half a tenth slower than his current pole benchmark. Iannone's is three tenths slower.
Rins up to third place on his hard front and medium rear, that's not bad at all.
And there's Marquez, going just 0.01s quicker than Iannone! This should be good.
Andrea Iannone goes top with his first effort, a 1m.37.987s. Crutchlow second, Lorenzo third, but we're waiting on Marquez.
Lorenzo, Petrucci, Rins, Dovizioso and Vinales opting for medium rears instead of softs on this first run.
Q2 is now live - 15 minutes to decide the poleman.
Marquez is probably just about favourite over one lap, but both Crutchlow and Iannone have looked out of reach at different points in the weekend. This should be mega.

Q2 line-up: Marquez; Crutchlow, Iannone; Zarco; Lorenzo; Miller; Rossi; Pedrosa; Petrucci; Rins; Dovizioso; Vinales.

Q2 results: 1 Dovizioso; 2 Vinales; 3 A Espargaro; 4 Nakagami; 5 Morbidelli; 6 P Espargaro; 7 Rabat; 8 Luthi; 9 Kallio; 10 Bautista; 11 Smith; 12 Syahrin; 13 Abraham; 14 Simeon; 15 Redding.
Aleix raises his arms in the air and then slumps on his bike. Vinales can count his lucky stars there.
That'll be Aleix Espargaro, and he improves! But it's not enough, he comes up 0.04s short of Vinales.
There's one more lap in this for many riders, but most seem to have backed off already - or have they? Espargaro with a purple sector three!
Nakagami is joining the fight for the second Q2 transfer spot, moving up to fourth, a tenth and a half off Vinales. Chequered flag.
Aleix Espargaro now has a soft rear on, and he goes up to third, a tenth off Vinales. You'd imagine it's between the two of them for the final Q2 spot - Dovizioso has already retreated into the pits and looks confident of advancing.
Rabat down at Turn 1!
Vinales up to second, three tenths slower than Dovizioso.
Dovizioso has been to the pits and is now back out and pushing. He finds just over three tenths for a 1m38.074s. Four minutes to go.
Current order: 1 Dovizioso; 2 Rabat; 3 Vinales; 4 Morbidelli; 5 A Espargaro; 6 Nakagami; 7 Bautista; 8 P Espargaro; 9 Luthi; 10 Kallio; 11 Smith; 12 Abraham; 13 Syahrin; 14 Redding; 15 Simeon.
