Summary

Status: Stopped
Q2 result:

1 Zarco
2 Marquez
3 Petrucci
4 Rossi
5 Redding
6 Folger
7 Bautista
8 Crutchlow
9 Dovizioso
10 Lowes
11 Vinales
12 Pedrosa
That looks like the last improvement of note, it's surely going to be a Zarco pole.
But Zarco comes from nowhere to upstage Marquez and take pole.
Marquez takes provisional pole as he takes the flag.
But here comes Marquez with an absolutely storming lap on an increasingly spray-free track.
Petrucci takes provisional pole back by three tenths over Marquez!
Vinales is still only eighth.
Zarco knocks Petrucci off the front row by taking third but Petrucci is on a very good lap himself.
That apparent engine blow happened right in front of Rossi.
Petrucci improves his benchmark to a 1m47.349s, 0.378s clear of Marquez.
Folger is now fourth ahead of Rossi.
Redding improves and goes third, 0.077s off pacesetting team-mate Petrucci.
Even Marquez can't beat Petrucci - though he gets close, just 0.006s off provisional pole.
Bautista jumps to second, but it's still Petrucci on top by a second.
It's Petrucci, Rossi, Redding, Lowes, Bautista after one lap each.
First times are in and it was briefly a Rossi provisional pole but regular underdog hero Petrucci just beat his legendary friend by 1.1s!
Iannone drops back down as his last lap was cancelled due to track limits over-enthusiasm.
That really is just what Lowes needs as he fights for his MotoGP career.
But it's Redding and Lowes through to Q2!
Lorenzo can only manage 11th in the session.
It's a poor final sector from Baz - heavy wheelspin means he's only fifth fastest in Q1.
Iannone goes third, Redding and Lowes are safe for now.
It's not over yet - Baz is absolutely flying. He's currently fifth but could easily knock Lowes out.
Pol Espargaro has crashed. He's up and OK.
Aleix Espargaro goes third, then Miller beats him - but neither beats Redding or Lowes.
Baz just squeezed in to get another lap.
Miller and Aleix Espargaro are both going fast.
Redding and Lowes are first and second but aren't going to improve again.
The flag is out.
Iannone goes up to fifth but will have another lap.
The chequered flag isn't far away...
Lorenzo is back to 12th behind the KTMs.
Order with a minute to go: 1 Redding; 2 Lowes; 3 Baz; 4 Miller; 5 A Espargaro; 6 Rins
...for a few seconds before Redding takes it back in a British one-two.
Lowes flies through, though, he takes first place...
Baz now goes quickest with a 1m47.298s, 0.029s up on Redding.
But while the track's getting better, for much of the course there's still a lot of spray flying up.
Redding, Aleix Espargaro, Baz and Lowes are all doing very fast sectors.
The KTMs are now bringing up the rear, with Lorenzo and Rabat just ahead.
