Summary

Status: Stopped
We'll bring you more throughout the afternoon and evening, and be back for the race tomorrow.

Will be interesting to hear what Vinales and Rossi have to say about that a little later this afternoon. We'll bring you that, of course, with the press conference coming up in about two hours.

Lorenzo looks pretty stoked as he gets back to the Ducati garage. It's been a tough start to life in red for the three-time world champion.
Then it's Redding, Iannone and Miller, completing the runners in Q2, and the first four rows of the grid.
Dovizioso is seventh, ahead of Folger and Crutchlow, who crashed late in the piece and dropped several places.
Pedrosa, Zarco and Lorenzo will share the second row, a positive step for the latter with Ducati.
Rossi turned a 2m03.673s. He'll round out the front row, even if he has finished qualifying 0.932s slower than Marquez.
That a fifth pole in a row for Marquez at Austin. Vinales will start second with Rossi jumping up to third after the chequered flag was shown.
Marquez goes quicker again to take pole. He turns a 2m02.741s, 0.130s quicker than Vinales.
Here comes Marquez, as Pedrosa jumps into third.
Vinales takes top spot, 2m02.871s is 0.171s up.
Vinales is looking good here.
And the second sector. Marquez is also quick through the first sector, but not as quick as Vinales.
Vinales goes faster again in the first sector.
Chequered flag comes out at Zarco jumps up to third.
Crutchlow has crashed at Turn 11.
Vinales finds a big chunk of time, to turn a 2m03.125s. That's still second, but within 0.083s of Marquez.
Vinales lost a couple of tenths through the second sector but improved in the third.
Lorenzo jumps up to fourth with a 2m04.151s, 1.109s slower than Marquez.
Crutchlow also sets a fastest outright first sector. Marquez was slow through the first sector, he won't improve this lap.
Vinaled gets on with it, though, setting the fastest time we've had in the first sector so far, as we enter the final 100 seconds.
Another little moment of on-track angst between the Yamaha pair, Vinales doing the remonstrating.
Riders are now heading back out for their second runs.

Lorenzo has headed out again, he's currently ninth and 1.905s off top spot. But, then again, even Vinales in P2 is 0.870s slower than Marquez.
Riders are back in pitlane with five minutes to go, other than Miller who is back out on his second Marc VDS Honda.

Pedrosa has slotted into third, ahead of Zarco, Dovizioso, Folger, Crutchlow, Rossi, Lorenzo, Redding, Miller and Iannone.
Iannone has managed to pick his bike back up and head back to pitlane.
Iannone has crashed at Turn 15. Suzuki has had a torrid day.
Vinales goes second, but his 2m03.912s is 0.870s slower than Marquez.
Marquez sets a 2m03.042s, quicker than pole last year.
Miller has gone down at Turn 2.
Vinales and Rossi nearly get tangled up at Turn 18, then Vinales slows to find some space and backs into Redding.
Zarco slots into second and Lorenzo third, just within one second and just over one second slower than Marquez respectively.
