Cal Crutchlow signs new, two-year MotoGP deal with LCR Honda
Cal Crutchlow will remain with the LCR Honda team for the next two MotoGP seasons
The Briton joined Lucio Cecchinello's squad this year after parting company with the factory Ducati team.
He took a podium finish in Argentina in the third grand prix of the season and is currently ninth in the championship.
"I am very happy to continue my relationship with LCR for 2016 and 2017," he said.
"Lucio has a fantastic team and I look forward to growing further with them and with Honda."
LCR is running Crutchlow alongside Moto3 graduate Jack Miller this year, but its plans for its second bike in 2016 are not yet clear.
"I am happy to announce the extension of our cooperation with Cal, who is one of the most talented riders in the whole MotoGP field," said Cecchinello.
"He has got the skills and the potential to battle with the top riders and fight for the podium spots, as he demonstrated in Argentina earlier this season.
"Cal is extremely professional and during the season we have built up a great rapport. It's a pleasure to be working with Cal again in 2016 and I look forward to the years to come."
Honda is the third manufacturer Crutchlow has represented in MotoGP, having begun his grand prix career in Yamaha's satellite Tech 3 team before his Ducati move.
