125cc: Unstoppable Marquez on pole again

Marc Marquez racked up yet another pole position - his 11th of the season and fourth in a row - in 125cc qualifying at Phillip Island

The Ajo Derbi rider worked with team-mate Sandro Cortese for much of the session, with the duo towing each other around to ever-faster times. While Marquez ended up on pole by 0.6 seconds, the tactic paid off for Cortese too, who completed an Ajo one-two ahead of Marquez's title rivals.

Championship contenders Pol Espargaro (Tuenti Derbi) and Nico Terol (Aspar Aprilia) completed the front row, ahead of Terol's team-mate Bradley Smith.

Esteve Rabat held on to sixth despite sitting out the latter stages of qualifying with mechanical problems on his Blusens Aprilia. Efren Vazquez was seventh on the second Tuenti bike, with Tomoyoshi Koyama eighth for Team Germany.

Stipa-Molenaar rider Luis Salom briefly looked like he might sneak a shock row start as he grabbed the tow of the Ajo duo, but a minor accident left him ninth.

After starring in the wet yesterday and putting the Lambretta a sensational third, Danny Kent crashed today and was only 23rd.
