Moto2: Sekiguchi stable after crash
Taro Sekiguchi is in a stable condition after a violent accident in the 250cc warm-up at Brno this morning
The Japanese rider was thrown through the air after hitting Marco Simoncelli's crashed Gilera - which had ended up across the middle of the track after the Italian had a low-side two minutes before the end of the session.
It appears that Sekiguchi's vision was obscured by dust from Simoncelli's incident, and he struck the stationary Gilera at high speed.
Initial reports suggest that Sekiguchi sustained a thorax contusion and a possible lung injury. He is now being transferred to Brno hospital in a stable condition, breathing and fully conscious.
The crash left a large amount of fuel across the track and has consequently delayed the start of the MotoGP warm-up.
