Will Power hits the front in Long Beach IndyCar practice two
Will Power moved to the front in Friday's second IndyCar Series practice session on the streets of Long Beach
The Australian deposed Penske team-mate and early pacesetter Juan Pablo Montoya - who had led the morning session - and then raised his pace further to end the afternoon on a 1m07.5992s.
Two Honda runners chased Power's Dallara-Chevrolet, with Schmidt Peterson driver James Hinchcliffe and Rahal Letterman Lanigan's Graham Rahal two tenths of a second off the pace.
Championship leader Simon Pagenaud had languished near the back in practice one and early in the afternoon running too, but ultimately jumped to fourth ahead of Penske team-mates Montoya and Helio Castroneves.
Josef Newgarden, Scott Dixon, Jack Hawksworth and Carlos Munoz completed the top 10 in an incident-free session.
