Scheckter back in action for Kansas

Tomas Scheckter will join the IndyCar Series for the race at Kansas this weekend with the Luczo Dragon Racing team

The team, co-owned by Jay Penske (son of Roger), plan to compete in three events this season, including the Indianapolis 500 next month, with Scheckter, who has driven in the series since 2002.

The 27-year-old, son of 1979 world champion Jody, has two IndyCar wins to his name but is predicting a tough time at Kansas and Indy.

"Kansas will be a warm-up for us to see how everybody works today and what we need to work on to prepare for Indy, " he said. "It's important for me as I haven't been in the car for a while so I need to get out there and drive as much as I can.

"I might have to come to the reality that maybe we go out there and struggle to be 15th. That just might be it. But I've got to not let that get to me and carry on working hard with the team, to think more of the future."
