Rob Edwards joins Andretti Autosport from Schmidt IndyCar team
Andretti Autosport has hired Rob Edwards as its director of race operations and engineering to replace long-time team director Kyle Moyer, who moved to Team Penske late last year

Edwards joins Andretti from IndyCar rival Schmidt Peterson Motorsport, where he had served as general manager since 2011.
"We are excited to welcome Rob to the Andretti family," said Andretti. "His experience in racing will be valuable in moving our organisation forward across multiple racing platforms."
The move signals another major upheaval for SPM, which also lost Simon Pagenaud and engineer Ben Bretzman to Penske at the end of 2014.
James Hinchcliffe has moved across to Schmidt from Andretti and is working with veteran engineer Allan McDonald, while the team is still working on options for its second car.
A return by Mikhail Aleshin, who impressed with the team in his rookie season last year, is in doubt due to sanctions that have been placed on the Russian banking industry by the US government.
Andretti Autosport currently has three cars confirmed for 2015, with Ryan Hunter-Reay, Marco Andretti and Carlos Munoz all set to return. The team is still to announce whether it will run its fourth car again this year.
