Power on top again in final practice

Penske continued to control the Edmonton IndyCar Series weekend as Will Power set the pace in the final practice session on Saturday morning

While Power led the way as he had in the opening session yesterday, Penske again got all three of its cars in the top four, with Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe taking third and fourth.

But the Penske dominance was infiltrated by one of its former drivers, as Paul Tracy delighted the home crowd by taking second place, despite a wild spin during the session.

His team-mate Mario Moraes emphasised KV Racing's pace by taking sixth, behind Ganassi's Scott Dixon.

The Newman/Haas/Lanigan team-mates Graham Rahal and Robert Doornbos completed the top eight, although Rahal wiped the rear wing off his car in a crash.

Mike Conway had a high-speed spin but still made it into the top ten for Dreyer & Reinbold, just behind his rookie rival Raphael Matos (Luczo Dragon).

In an incident-packed session, the earliest accident was EJ Viso's spin at Turn 1. The Venezuelan driver's practice ended in the tyre barriers after just three laps.
