Kanaan Fastest in Practice

Kanaan led a closely packed leading group on a busy day at the speedway which saw 2828 laps completed between the drivers, a distance of over 7000 miles without incident.

Kanaan's fastest time was closely followed by teammates Dan Wheldon and Dario Franchitti, all setting times within a tenth of a second of each other.

Meanwhile Kenny Brack's comeback to the series continued well, posting the seventh fastest time while completing 139 laps, the most of the day.

He was just 0.1119 of a second slower than teammate Danica Patrick who has qualified fourth for the race, and is on target to comfortably make the field.

Qualifying for the final eleven places on the grid for the May 29th race takes place later today.
