Franchitti on top in second session

The duo set their best times early on their opening runs of the day, and remained out of the competition's reach for the rest of the hour.

Tony Kanaan had a strong run for KV Racing in third place, with Helio Castroneves the top Penske driver in fourth and Ryan Hunter-Reay Andretti Autosport's lead runner in fifth. Friday pacesetter Will Power (Penske) was both in sixth.

The session was relatively uneventful and ran uninterrupted bar a yellow for a track inspection.
