Famous families add to Indy entry
Robby Unser and Ross Cheever are among the latest round of entries for this season's Indianapolis 500
Cheever, younger brother of veteran racer Eddie and a former star of the Japanese racing scene, has been testing for his brother's IRL team since last winter.
'The Indianapolis 500 is such an important race and everything surrounding it is so different from the type of racing that I'm used to,' said Cheever Jr.
'It's difficult to put into words what I felt when I was on the track for the first time and I certainly can't predict what I'll feel if I get to start the race with that huge crowd of spectators.'
The addition of Robby Unser in a Byrd-McCormack Riley & Scott means that there will be three Unsers in the field. Al Unser Jr and Johnny Unser are driving for Galles ECR and Indy Regency Racing in this year's event.
'I'm always happy to be able to run here and I think that this team is going to perform really well,' said Unser. 'Right now my motivation level is through the roof.'
The race takes place on May 28.
