Castroneves Quickest at Infineon Raceway

Helio Castroneves topped the opening day of this week's Indy Racing League test at the Infineon Raceway on Tuesday, comfortably outpacing two of the pace-setters from this month's inaugural road-racing event at St. Petersburg

The Brazilian edged out Ryan Briscoe and Dario Franchitti, who had eventually finished third in the St. Petersburg race.

After getting his first experience of the twisty track, Castroneves believes that August's race at Infineon Raceway will deliver plenty of excitement - for both fans and the drivers.

"It was incredible. It was amazing. It reminded me of Laguna Seca," he said. "It will be a fun place for people to watch, because you can see all the way around the track.

"But this place is very tough, because of the high-speed turns. You have to put all the corners together here, there are high speed and low speed corners, [so] it's a challenge to the engineers and drivers."
