Brack: No doubts over return
Kenny Brack is feeling ever more positive about a return to the sport as his recovery continues to go well. He's not yet ready to put a date on a return, but he's upbeat enough to think he could be in the cockpit by the summer.
"I'm getting better and better by the day," said Brack. "I think you can see several hundred percent difference in the last month already in my energy level, mobility and everything."
"So it's going pretty good actually. Once I can weight-bear on the right leg, I will be walking like anybody else that has two legs and no injuries."
Brack hurt himself in a big shunt with Tomas Scheckter at Texas last season, and was speaking at his first interview session with the media since the accident and the stretch in hospital that followed it. He's now rehabilitating at home.
"I don't know when I'll be back. A May return could be a realistic goal, or maybe not. If I had been in this position before, maybe I could give you a hint! But I haven't.
"I don't think I have doubts in my mind I can do it again. It's something that I've always done. I've always lived with racing. I love the sport. It's my life, basically."
Buddy Rice will stand in for Brack at Team Rahal until the Swede returns.
