Double IndyCar champion Scott Dixon and 2010 Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray will try out each other's cars in a promotional event in Alabama on 16 March.
Hot on the heels of the announcement that 2008 Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton and double NASCAR Sprint Cup title-winner Tony Stewart are to swap cars for a test in the summer, Ganassi duo Dixon and McMurray will change disciplines later this month.
McMurray will test Dixon's Ganassi Dallara-Honda Indycar at Barber Motorsports Park after the IndyCar Series' pre-season test at the track.
Dixon will then try McMurray's Earnhardt Ganassi NASCAR Chevrolet Impala at Talladega Superspeedway on the same day.
The IndyCar Series is hoping that leading NASCAR names will be among those interested in shooting for its $5 million bonus for any guest driver able to win its season finale at Las Vegas in October, though McMurray's EGR NASCAR team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya has already played down the chances of any current Cup driver being able to race in both their own Charlotte event and IndyCar's Las Vegas race on the same weekend.
