Former Indy Pro Series champion Wade Cunningham tested an IndyCar for the first time with Andretti Green Racing at Sebring this week.
The 2005 IPS champion joined three of the team's regular drivers for the test, which was one of the bonus days earned by Andretti Green for pairing up with a team in the feeder series.
"It was cool to drive an IndyCar Series car for the first time," said the 23-year-old. "It's something that I've looked forward to since I came over here in 2005.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity. It was a bit difficult in the morning with the track still at 50 degrees (Fahrenheit), but after 20 laps or so, it felt reasonably comfortable."
Cunningham finished third in this year's IPS driving for AFS Racing, the team that is partnered by AGR.
He joined Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti and Hideki Mutoh at the test, while Danica Patrick did not drive.
