Ferdinand Habsburg takes us inside the Daytona 24 Hours with the story of his dramatic run to fifth in the Jota-run Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA.
Habsburg, who received a late call to participate in his first Daytona 24 Hours on Christmas Eve, had an eventful race on his endurance-racing debut.
He tells Peter Windsor all about his experience in this video from Motorsport.tv's The Flying Lap.
"When I found out who I was sharing the car with, it was incredible," says Habsburg.
"Alex Brundle, Ho-Pin Tung; really experienced guys as well, and to be honest, one of my genuine childhood heroes, Antonio Felix da Costa.
"Then I noticed who I'd be racing with - [Fernando] Alonso, [Helio] Castroneves, [Juan Pablo] Montoya, my team-mates..."
Habsburg also tells the story of what it was like to head out onto the famous Daytona banking just as rain hit the race.
