Time to get the job done, says Herbert
British racing hero Johnny Herbert has set his sights on victory in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours with Bentley
The 38-year-old, who won the French sportscar classic in 1991 with Mazda, believes the time is right for the famous British marque to return to victory lane.
"More than anything it's important we get the job done this year," said Herbert. "The race has a lot of history to it, and so does Bentley. Le Mans is a very demanding event and I've got to rely on my team-mates and team. Everything has to work like a clock, but the whole team is very competent from the engineers to the drivers."
Fellow former grand prix star Mark Blundell, who will race alongside Herbert and Australian sportscar ace David Brabham in the Speed 8, was also upbeat over their chances.
"It's very important to me and I feel very honoured to be driving for Bentley," said Blundell. "We are looking for success in 2003. I think it will be one of our two cars which wins Le Mans this year."
