Pirro continues to head times

Pirro set a best lap of 1m49.819s, shading his former works Audi co-driver Frank Biela by just 0.005s. However, the surprise of the session came from the LMP 675 class DBA4-03S-Zytek driven by John Nielsen and Hayanari Shimoda, which set the third fastest time of the day.

The Bentley Speed 8 of David Brabham, Johnny Herbet and Mark Blundell set the fourth quickest time, ahead of Dyson Racing's LMP 675 class Lola EX257-MG, driven by James Weaver, Butch Leitzinger and Andy Wallace.

The British trio of Anthony Davidson, Darren Turner and Kelvin Burt topped the timesheets in the GTS class, with their Veloqx Prodrive Ferrari 550 Maranello setting a best time of 2m00.438s, to outpace both of Chevrolet's works Corvette C5-Rs.

In the GT class, reigning series class champions Sascha Maassen and Lucas Luhr lead the way in the Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The second fastest car in the class was the Petersen Motorsports Porsche, driven by Briton Johnny Mowlem, Nic Jonsson and Craig Stanton.
