Magnussen to race Riley & Scott at Sebring
Sportscar ace Jan Magnussen has signed to race a Riley & Scott for Jim Matthews Racing in the classic 12 hours of Sebring endurance race next month
The Dane, who has raced for the works Panoz team in the American Le Mans Series for the past four seasons, will line up alongside Marc Goosens and team owner Jim Matthews for the race at the Florida circuit.
"Jan's record speaks for itself, and makes a strong case that he was the best choice for our team for this race," said Matthews. "I'm looking forward to working with him. We've had a number of great drivers in the car, and each one adds something to our programme."
The team finished third in last year's Sebring race. Team Technical Director Bill Riley said: "Since last year, we've added Michelin tyres, Yates Racing engines, and now Jan Magnussen to the team, along with a solid year of development of the car. I think we have a chance for a strong showing."
