HTP Motorsport splits with Bentley after Blancpain Sprint title win
HTP Motorsport, which took Maximilian Buhk and Vincent Abril to this year's Blancpain Sprint Series title, has parted company with Bentley for 2016
The end of the relationship was announced in a statement from Bentley.
Bentley Motorsport boss Brian Gush said: "Obviously, it is disappointing that the deal has come to an end.
"We had a fantastic year of racing with HTP Motorsport: together we took the Continental GT3's first international drivers' championship victory."
The German squad had a deal for factory-supported campaigns with its fleet of Bentley Continental GT3s in this season's BSS, the sister Blancpain Endurance Series, ADAC GT Masters and the Nurburgring 24 Hours.
That arrangement included joining forces with the full-factory M-Sport squad to run a pair of Continentals entered under the Bentley Motorsport banner in the German enduro on the Nurburgring-Nordschleife in May.
Abril has been picked up by Bentley for next season and will race alongside his 2015 team-mate Buhk - who was already on a factory deal - at M-Sport in the BES.
No comment was available from the HTP team.
It is expected that it will return to Mercedes-Benz, with which it won the 2013 BES crown with Buhk and the 2014 BSS title with Maximilian Gotz, to run the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 across multiple championships.
