Fittipaldi to Bell

Christian Fittipaldi has joined the Bell Motorsports Grand-Am team for the last four races of the season. The former Formula 1 and Champ Car racer will race the team's Pontiac-powered Doran with regular driver Terry Borcheller, starting with the next round of the championship at Miami on September 12

Fittipaldi was part of the four-driver squad which took the car to victory in this year's Daytona 24 Hours and he's pleased to be renewing his links with Bell.
"I'm happy to be racing again with the team," said Fittipaldi. "I hope Bell Motorsports, Terry and myself can put a string of four strong races together, so that the team is in a good position for 2005."

Bell won last year's Grand-Am teams title and Borcheller was the drivers' champion in the US prototype series, but despite the excellent start to the 2004 season at Daytona, Bell is now down in sixth place in the team points - 50 behind leader Chip Ganassi Racing and Borcheller is only seventh in the driver standings - also 50 down on leaders Max Papis and Scott Pruett.
