Enna: Cappellari and Gollin win in Italy

The Ferrari 550 Maranello of Luca Cappellari and Fabrizio Gollin took the chequered flag at Enna in Italy this afternoon, just ahead of Thomas Biagi and Matteo Bobbi - also in a Ferrari - and the Lister Storm of Jamie Campbell-Walter and Nathan Kinch. The leaders finished the 102-lap race with over a minute in hand and just the top three on the lead lap

The Listers took the fight to the Ferraris in the warm and sunny conditions, splitting the top six places between them. Bobby Verdon-Roe and Marco Zadra's Lister just couldn't catch Bryner, Calderari and Livio's Ferrari for fourth, while Jean-Denis Deletraz and Andrea Piccini's Lister came home sixth.

The highest placed Chrysler was the Viper GTS-R of Phillipe Alliot and Steve Zacchia, in seventh, which was chased to the line by the Porsche 996 GT3-RS of Britain's Tim Sugden and Martin Short. Sugden and Short won the NGT class in eighth, with Bertolini and De Simone's Ferrari 360 Modena almost 24-seconds behind in ninth.

Henrik Roos and Magnus Wallinder disappointingly retired on lap 11, after taking fourth and the dubious honour of being the only Viper to finish at Magny-Cours two weeks ago. There were 13 DNFs in total among the 30-strong field.

Fastest laps of the race in each class were by Cappellari and Gollin (GT), at 1m36.465s, and Ortelli and Lieb (NGT) who managed a 1m40.755s but failed to finish. The next race will be in Brno on May 25.
