Duncan Tappy to contest Blancpain series with Black Falcon
Briton Duncan Tappy will contest the remainder of the Blancpain Endurance Series with the Nurburgring 24 Hours-winning Black Falcon Mercedes team
Tappy, who is also competing in the British GT Championship with the Von Racing McLaren squad, will race a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with fellow Briton Oliver Morley and Ukrainian Andrii Leded, starting next weekend at Silverstone.
The deal follows British GT graduate Morley's decision to move up from the Pro-Am Cup class from the all-amateur Gentlemen Trophy category.
Tappy, who was Pro-Am class winner last year with the ART McLaren team, said: "I'm delighted to be joining Black Falcon for the remainder of the Blancpain and hope I can help them to build on their already impressive record of success.
"It's great to get a second programme for the season, which was always my goal, and to be able to show my talents to another manufacturer."
Morley, who won Pro-Am class at the Nurburgring in 2012 with Black Falcon, said: "I was offered the chance to run in the Gentlemen Trophy this year, but we weren't at the sharp end at Monza [last month's season opener] and it didn't do anything for me.
"That's why I wanted to move back to Pro-Am. Duncan was someone I met last year when he was racing the ART McLaren and I'm excited to be able to put him in the car."
