Patric Niederhauser scored his first GP3 victory since 2012 at the Hungaroring on Sunday morning, the Swiss driver grabbing the lead at the start and then dominating from there.
Niederhauser rocketed off P3 on the grid to pass poleman Dino Zamparelli of ART, who made a slow getaway, and his Arden team-mate Jann Mardenborough.
Zamparelli remained within a second for the opening three laps but then fell away from Niederhauser, who cruised to a 1.5s win, his first with the Arden team that ran the last two series champions.
Mardenborough clung to third despite late-race pressure from series leader Alex Lynn, who passed the third Arden car of Robert Visoiu on the opening lap for fourth.
Behind Visoiu, yesterday's winner Richie Stanaway passed Emil Bernstorff and Dean Stoneman to finish sixth.
Bernstorff and Stoneman rounded out the point scorers, the latter holding on to eighth by a tenth of a second from a charging Marvin Kirchhofer.
It was another disastrous race for title contender Jimmy Eriksson, who could only manage 16th.
Lynn now leads Stanaway by 31 points, with Eriksson having slumped to 49 points behind.
