Antonio Felix da Costa confident for GP3 title showdown
Antonio Felix da Costa believes he is in good shape for this weekend's GP3 championship decider at Monza
The Red Bull-backed racer is one of four drivers still in with a chance of the crown at the season finale. Mark Webber protege Mitch Evans leads da Costa by 21.5 points, while Aaro Vainio is a further three back. Daniel Abt is the outsider, 35 behind the championship leader.
Carlin driver da Costa has been the form man in the series, gradually reducing his deficit to Evans, which was as high as 51 points after .
"The whole team is in a confident mood heading to Monza," said the Portuguese. "Obviously we want to win, and we are in a good position now after two strong weekends in Hungary and Spa.
"[The second race at Spa] was the fourth time in a row that we got the fastest lap. Like I have said before we have a really good, quick car and I can drive well during the races."
Evans said that he does not feel under pressure heading into the title deciding weekend, but da Costa believes that all four of the championship contenders will be feeling the heat with so much at stake.
"People are saying there is no pressure, but of course there is pressure," he added. "But it's internal and the pressure we put on ourselves to win.
"We are going to push every lap as hard as we can for victory. My approach is going to be exactly the same as it has been for the last three or four weekends, which is just pushing as much as I can and see what happens."
