Werner on Lime Rock Pole

As at Mid-Ohio in May, all four class qualifying records were broken at Lime Rock as Audi's Marco Werner claimed pole for Monday's New England Grand Prix

Marco Werner/JJ Lehto edged out the two Lola EX257 AERs of James Weaver/Butch Leitzinger and Chris Dyson/Andy Wallace, with the other Audi R8 of Frank Biela/Emanuele Pirro right on the Lolas' tail.

Chris McMurry/Jeff Bucknum easily took the P2 class pole, over two seconds faster than their nearest competitor.

In GT1 it was the Oliver Gavin/Olivier Beretta Corvette C6-R which was fastest ahead of teammates Johnny O'Connell/Ron Fellows, with the Saleen S7R of Johnny Mowlem/Terry Borcheller just ahead of the Maserati MC12 of Fabio Babini/Andrea Bertolini.

Finally, in GT2 Patrick Long/Jorg Bergmeister were fastest ahead of Timo Bernhard/Romain Dumas, both in Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs, with Robin Liddell/Bill Auberlen rounding out the top three in their Panoz Esperante eGTLM.
