Tracy plans switch to Forsythe
Champ Car ace Paul Tracy is poised to make a switch from Team Green to Forsythe Racing for 2003 to ensure that he can remain racing in the CART Championship Series, according to this week's AUTOSPORT magazine
The Canadian is understood to have agreed a deal in principal to join the Player's-backed squad following team-mate Michael Andretti's purchase of Team Green last week. Andretti could lead the outfit into the rival Indy Racing League, but Tracy wants to stay in CART.
His Scottish team-mate Dario Franchitti is also considering his options for next year. He too would prefer to remain in CART than race in the all-oval IRL and may also be forced to leave Team Green.
Tracy said: "CART is where I want to be. I haven't signed anything, but I am talking to teams and I've got options."
Andretti says that he has yet to decide where his team will race in 2003.
