Tracy aims for Canadian sweep

The Canadian took dominant victories at the two previous races in his homeland this season on the streets of Toronto and Vancouver, and is now looking to complete his set on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Forsythe team will be further motivated this weekend given that this race will mark Canadian tobacco company Player's final appearance as a sponsor in its home country.

"Sweeping all three races in Canada would be absolutely great," said Tracy, who currently leads the Champ Car standings. "I can't think of a better way for Player's to mark its final race in Canada than to have a one-two finish in Montreal. Finishing one-two in consecutive races is certainly a tough thing to do, but we had the fastest cars at Mid-Ohio and if we can be quick right from the get-go in Montreal anything can happen. We're certainly going to give it our best shot."

However, this weekend Tracy will not be the focus of attention for the enthusiastic crowd. Instead, the French-Canadian supporters will be firmly behind Patrick Carpentier. The Montreal native is desperate to win at home, setting up an intriguing battle with Forsythe team-mate Tracy.

"It was a great thrill for Paul when he returned home to Toronto and won there last month," said Carpentier. "I want to do the same thing in Montreal, to reward the fans and Player's for the support they have given me over the years."
