Tracy: 2005 is "Strongest Field"
Forsythe driver Paul Tracy, looking for his fifth win at the Long Beach circuit this weekend, thinks that the current Champ Car line up is the strongest he has competed against
With a number of Formula One refugees the grid is surprisingly strong, which should result in much tougher racing that the series has seen for a number of years. It is a challenge Tracy relises: "The field this year is stronger than I can recall in my whole career so it's going to be a heck of a challenge, but I think we're up to the task.
"The #3 car is going to be tough to beat, and anybody that wants to run up front better bring their A-game."
More than anything else Tracy is happy to get back to his happy hunting ground in California, and to racing the car he has developed as the sole driver for the team over the off-season: "This is such a great place to start the season, with very knowledgeable fans packing the grandstands and a great festival atmosphere.
"I'm just eager to get out on the track and see how all our hard work over the off-season is going to pay off."
