SPEED World Challenge links with Racer

AUTOSPORT's American sister magazine Racer has agreed a deal to help promote the SCCA SPEED World Challenge Championships

The SPEED World Challenge features races for both Touring Car and GT's, and competes in eight events throughout the season.

"We're thrilled to have a publication as important and unique as Racer on board with the SCCA SPEED World Challenge," said Garret Mudd, SCCA Vice President of Marketing. "The GT and Touring Car Championships are two of the most relevant racing series in North America to the consumer and the race fan, and Racer's involvement further confirms that."

Ian Havard, Racer Communications' Publishing Director, said: "We're very enthusiastic about the SCCA SPEED World Challenge, which is an extremely exciting series to both current and future Racer readers. This is the perfect racing series for the race fan who relates the sport to the car they drive, and the car they aspire to drive. Racer has always been at the heart of real racing, and the competitiveness of the SCCA SPEED World Challenge epitomizes this.

"This series is a true manufacturers' playground, and with so many of them involved, we're proud to be a part of the SCCA SPEED World Challenge Manufacturers' Championships Presented by Racer Magazine."
