Rigon quickest for Anderlecht

Anderlecht's Davide Rigon delighted the Italian fans this afternoon by setting the fastest lap in Superleague Formula's second free practice session at Adria

Rigon's personal best time - a 1m06.077s - was over three tenths of a second faster than second placed Alvaro Parente (FC Porto), who enjoyed another strong run following his third place finish this morning.

Championship leader AC Milan's Yelmer Buurman was next up in third place, just ahead of Frederic Vervisch - who continues to impress in his first weekend driving for current Superleague Formula champion Liverpool - and Robert Doornbos (Corinthians).

Less than a tenth of a second then covered Max Wissel (FC Basel), Tristan Gommendy (Galatasaray), Julien Jousse (AS Roma) and Marcos Martinez (Sevilla) behind them.

Wissel, who set the fastest time this morning, lost time early on in the session when problems arose after a pitstop, whilst Gommendy added his name to an ever-increasing list of drivers to spin at Turn 7. He rejoined unscathed, but Ben Hanley was less fortunate as his stalled Olympiacos car brought the red flags out for the second time today.

Problems again befell Tottenham's title contender Craig Dolby. Having missed the first session, the Briton at least enjoyed some valuable track time. But despite pushing hard - including several nervous twitches on the exit of Turn 5 - Dolby could not better 1m08.063s, and finished the session in 13th.
