Review: In-car 956 Duke Video DVD

In this DVD from Duke Video ride onboard the 650hp world-title winning Rothmans Porsche 956 across a host of spectacular circuits, with Le Mans legend Derek Bell the chauffeur.

The natural sounds of the roaring engine and squealing tyres enhances the brutal, bone-shaking spectacle of Bell manhandling the 956 around some of the world's most challenging venues, as if you were in the car.

Ride with Bell as he tackles British venues Brands Hatch and Silverstone before descending into the Green Hell that is the Nurburgring Nordschleife, as Bell narrates every inch of asphalt of his devastatingly fast and terrifying 6m41s lap while keeping the wild 956 under control.

Join Bell at his successful hunting ground, Le Mans, as he blasts the 956 along the Mulsanne Straight, throws it into the Porsche Curves, all while darting between slower-moving vehicles.

Watch as he tackles the newly-renovated Spa-Francorchamps circuit before embarking on laps of Fuji and Kyalami at barely-believable speed.

The DVD also features a couple of bonus features, with Vern Schuppan providing an onboard lap of Canada's Mosport Park circuit, while a brief history of Porsche's leading cars is charted.

In car 956 is available to buy from Duke Video for £12.99. Product Code 3480.
