Premat, Lapierre Land France Seat
The head of A1 Team France Jean-Paul Driot has confirmed to Autosport-Atlas that GP2 racers Alexandre Premat and Nicolas Lapierre will share driving duties in the opening A1 Grand Prix races
The DAMS boss has also tested F3 Euroseries runner Loic Duval and Christophe Bouchut in the series' official tests session last month but has opted to go with former Macau Grand Prix winners Premat and Lapierre for the opening events at Brands Hatch and Estoril.
Premat is expected to be favoured as the driver who will start the races at Brands Hatch, but Driot confirmed both drivers will attend the meeting.
Driot told Autosport-Atlas: "We will start with Premat and Lapierre but we not sure how things will go after that. We are flexible. Both drivers will go to Brands.
"Later on I could consider than promoting a talented young French driver might be a good idea. We could have 24 different drivers for 24 different races."
DAMS have also been contracted to run the Switzerland and Mexican teams.
