Power remains bullish on title chances
Australian Will Power says his championship challenge is far from over despite having dropped behind the leading duo in the Champ Car standings
The Team Australia driver led the championship early on, but poor results in two of the last three races have left him 53 points behind points leader Sebastien Bourdais with six races remaining.
Power is 16 points behind second-placed Robert Doornbos.
The Australian, however, is hoping for a change of luck as Champ Car heads to Europe for the Zolder round, and he is not giving up on the title just year.
"We had a disappointing round in Elkhart Lake, but we're not down and out, in fact we are in the heat of the battle and the championship is not over yet," said Power.
"You know what they say bad luck comes in threes, so we had our three bad races in a row, so watch out in Europe."
Power will hope to benefit from his previous experience of the Belgian circuit, having raced there in the World Series by Renault in 2005.
"I really look forward to going back to Zolder, it's a track that I really enjoy and one that suits my style well and brings good luck for me," he added. "I earned pole there in World Series By Renault and I'm ready to claim pole again.
"This will be a good weekend for the team and for the Champ Car World Series as well. I think it's great that we are going to Europe, the fans are awesome and very supportive of racing."
