Peugeot unstoppable at half distance

Peugeot continues its serene domination of the Sebring 12 Hours at half-distance, with the #08 leading the #07 by 32s with six hours to go

The gap between the two 908 HDi FAPs increased when second placed Anthony Davidson had a quick spin while trying to lap a GT car into the hairpin, but the Briton quickly recovered.

Aston Martin Racing is now in a lonely third, having fallen two laps behind the Peugeots, but no longer under threat from the Drayson Lola, which spent nine laps in the pits having an alternator problem rectified.

The car rejoined and is now running sixth overall in Jonny Cocker's hands, behind the Highcroft HPD and Cytosport Porsche LMP2 cars, which are split by three laps.

Risi Ferrari has maintained its lead in GT2, but the #92 Rahal Letterman BMW shrugged off Dirk Werner's earlier excursion and is running just 6s behind the class leader. The #45 Flying Lizard Porsche is also witihn 40s of the lead.

The Corvettes' earlier pitlane clash ruined the squad's hopes of victory. With both cars requiring time-consuming repairs, the team's leading #4 entry is now nine laps behind Risi and running 10th in class.

The LMPC class battle came alive when the leading #55 Level 5 car lost time in the pits and was then given a penalty for a mechanic rolling rather than carrying a tyre away from the car. That gave the Genoa car a shot at grabbing the lead, only for it too to receive a pit penalty a few minutes later.

The #81 Alex Job Racing car continues to lead GTC, now holding a one-lap advantage over the sister #23 car.
