Mosley to address MSEC 2004
FIA president Max Mosley will deliver the keynote address at the USA's next bi-annual SAE Motorsports Engineering Conference & Exhibition. The theme of the three-day 2004 conference, starting on November 30 in the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dearborn, MI, will be 'Change for Relevance'. Mosley will also serve on MSEC's Business Panel alongside Mike Helton (NASCAR), Tony George (Indy Racing League), Steve Johnson (SCCA) and Tom Compton (NHRA)
Paul Pfanner, the president of Racer magazine, will serve as the panel moderator. Other panels convening around the presentation of technical papers will cover motorsport safety, racing engines and drivetrains, and chassis design and development. The general chair of MSEC this year will be Herb Fishel, the former chief of GM Motorsport. The guest speaker at the Conference Banquet will be Neil Ressler, the former head of Jaguar Racing and a VP of Ford Motor Company.
A special event this year for young engineers interested in careers in motorsport will be the Young Engineers Panel, during which professionals will describe the skills needed to work in racing and the best job opportunities.
