Mirko Bortolotti quickest in second practice at Red Bull Ring

Formula 2 points leader Mirko Bortolotti once again topped the times in the second free practice session at Spielberg

The Italian was the only driver to break into the 1m22s at the recently reopened Austrian circuit, topping the charts with a 1m22.904s. This put him over 0.5s up on his nearest rival, Romanian Mihai Marinescu.

It was a generally uneventful session held in hot sunny conditions, but a number of drivers had their fastest times deleted for 'exceeding track limits'. This followed a warning after the opening session, during which many drivers used the asphalt run-off, particularly at Turn 1, as part of the circuit.

New boys Luciano Bacheta and Rene Binder were 14th and 20th respectively, while Christopher Zanella, who is second in the points, was eighth fastest.
