Journo comp deadlines nears

Aspiring motor racing journalists hoping to grab the chance of earning a kick-start to their career, as well as a trip to Japan, are being urged not to miss the imminent deadline to Bridgestone's e-reporter competition

Entries have already poured in for the competition, where seven finalists will be selected to attend a European Grand Prix and report on the all-new GP2 series - with one winner then chosen to cover a major international Bridgestone event in Japan. The deadline for entries closes in three weeks.

The competition is being judged by a panel of leading F1 journalists, led by ITV studio analyst Tony Jardine and including autosport.com's grand prix editor Jonathan Noble.

Jardine said: "The response to this year's competition has been overwhelming and the standard of entries is very high. As any journalist will tell you, it's not easy to break into the upper ranks of the profession, so this really is a superb opportunity for any student considering a career in the media. "

Bridgestone e-reporter is open to all students aged 18-30 studying full time in Europe at a high school, college or university. For more information about the competition and to enter, log on to .
