Grand-Am reveals 2005 Rolex calendar

The Grand American Road Racing Association has announced a 14-race Rolex Series schedule for 2005. The calendar, which opens at Daytona on February 3, will feature two new venues with the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. hosting an event on April 29 and Mexico City's Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez staging a race on December 2

"We are confident that our 2005 Rolex Series schedule will bring terrific racing to fans throughout North America," Grand American president Roger Edmondson said. "This schedule will also deliver many key markets to our sponsors, and puts our Daytona Prototypes and GT cars on tracks with a history of great racing. While Grand American has seen significant growth the last five years, we're expecting 2005 to be our best season yet."

April 1-3 California Speedway 400 Kilometres

June 9-11 Watkins Glen International 6 Hours

June 29-30 Daytona International Speedway 250 Miles

July 29-31 Barber Motorsports Park 400 Kilometres

August 11-12 Watkins Glen International 200 Miles

August 26-27 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course 400 Kilometres

September 8-10 Phoenix International Raceway 250 Miles

September 22-24 Watkins Glen International 250 Miles

October 7-9 Virginia International Raceway 400 Kilometres

December 2-4 Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez 400k-1000k
